Bring calm and peace to your mind

Try a meditation class

Are you seeking calmness, peace of mind, joy, vibrant health, greater energy, positive relationships and fulfilment in your life? Meditation offers innumerable benefits for your body mind and spirit. It prevents stress from getting into the system and it releases accumulated stress, which is already in the system.

I am holding small groups on a weekly basis. The sessions include Mindfulness, Autogenes Training, Visualisations and Imagery. I will give practical help on how to use meditation to reduce stress and other problems encountered in daily life. The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience peace

Why is meditation so benifical?

If we regularly meditate, our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we will experience a purer form of happiness. In time, we will be able to cope, even in the most difficult circumstances. Usually we find it difficult to control our mind.

If things go well, our mind is happy, but if it goes badly, we immediately become unhappy. For example, if we get what we want, such as a new possession or a new partner, we become excited and cling to them tightly. However, since we cannot have everything we want, and since we will inevitably be separated from the friends and possessions we currently enjoy, this attachment causes us pain. If life presents itself where we are in situations we do not like or if people around us behave differently as to what we expect we will become irritated, with the result that we become stressful and life becomes unrewarding. Such fluctuations of mood arise because we are too closely involved in the external situation.

By training in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity, which enables us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstances. Gradually we develop the mental equilibrium of a balanced mind If we meditate, we will eventually be able to remove from our mind the aspects that cause our problems and suffering. In this way, we will come to experience a permanent inner peace.
